Upcoming LG 4K TV’s for 2019
LG released several new 4K TV’s at CES 2018 that are sure to revolutionize their lineup going into 2019. Their first is the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W8 – 4K HDR AI Smart TVwhich is available in both a 65 inch and 77 inch display. Sporting a new a9 intelligent processor and LG ThinQ AI, this new 4K TV will be able to connect to devices like tablets and interact with users like never before.
The LG E8 OLED 4K HDR AI Smart TV is also slated to be released alongside the W8 and available in a 55 inch and 65 inch display. It’s has most of the same intuitive features and upgraded hardware as the W8, but LG is really proud of what they call it’s Glass Design which aims to double as a captivating statement piece in your home. Expected release date is April 2018.
Upcoming Samsung 4k TV’s for 2019
In an unheard of move by Samsung, they didn’t release any indications at CES 2018 about what their 2019 lineup of 4k TV’s might be (maybe they were focused on their smartphones and the Galaxy S9?). Instead, they unveiled a huge 146 inch TV called “The Wall”. This Samsung smart TV allows you to configure it to whichever size you want at a moments notice. Other cool Samsung products include the no gap wall mount which allows you to seamlessly mount your 4K TV to the wall and hide wires.
Samsung No Gap Wall Mount
Another product Samsung unveiled was the 85 inch Q9S TV which focuses on 8K resolution, incorporates artificial intelligence, and promises to make 4K an even better viewing experience. Unfortunately however, Samsung did not release any updates on the upcoming lineup of 4K TV’s. Expect a product lineup sometime in the middle of 2018.
Upcoming Sharp 4K TV’s for 2019
Sharp is the leader in 4K TV deals these days and they’ve kept it going with the new lineup for 2019 which includes the Q3000, Q5000, Q7000, and Q8000. These new 4K TV’s will have displays that range between 43 inches to 65 inches. The biggest selling point is the incorporation of HDR10 which stands for “High Dynamic Range”. HDR10 will allow for scene by scene adjustments for a better picture quality.
While this new lineup looked impressive at CES 2018, it’s difficult to say if Sharp will take full advantage in their budget 4K TV’s to trulymax out the HDR10 technology. Still, having the extra HDR10 compatibility is something most 4K TV’s just don’t have right now. Expect this new lineup to be released in April of 2018.
Upcoming Sony 4K TV Models for 2019
Sony unleashed several new 4K TV’s for 2019 at CES 2018, one of which was the 4k Ultra Short Throw Projector capable of producing the same display as an 80 inch 4K TV. Complete with Sony’s new glass sound bar, this projector is a great way to have the maximum viewing experience in where a traditional TV won’t work.
Sony’s NEW 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector
Sony also released two new 4K TV’s in the Bravia lineup including the A8F OLED and X900F Series. The new for 2019 A8F OLED 4K TV is nothing more than a re-branded 2017 A1E Series from 2017 with a few minor changes. The X900F Series is Sony’s first LCD for 2019 and slightly less appealing than the industry leader ZD9 model. Even so, these are two top quality 4K TV’s that will make the Bravia lineup even better for 2019. Expect an early 2018 release date.

Recently released by LG, the C7 Series 4K HDR TV is receiving rave reviews. Not only is the picture quality one of the best, but so are the features. When combined, it’s hard to argue against the C7 series 4K TV as one of the best 4K TVS for 2019.

Dolby Vision is a dynamic imaging software that uses cutting edge technology to expand color and contrast levels to unheard of ranges. Dolby Atmos takes audio to a new level by transforming sound into 3 dimensions. Moving audio immerses you into movies like never before.
The combination of Dolby technology and LG OLED quality make the C7 Series 4K TVs one of the most sought after televisions of2019. Its affordable price makes 4K UHD a reality for just about everyone.
3) Sony Z9D 4K TV – Best Gaming 4K TV
Sony’s 2019 lineup is one of the best we’ve seen. Not only did they release the all new Bravia X990E series, they’ve also hit a home run with the Z9D series of 4K TVs. All new hardware and an updated processor have resulted in one the best 4K HDR Ultra HD TV’s you can find.

- Backlight Master Drive
- Motionflow XR

Similar to the Sony X900E which leads the best 4k tv 2019 list, the Z9D series comes with the latest Sony hardware and features. It’s powered by the 4K HDR X1 Extreme processor capable of super bit mapping and 64 times the color levels of conventional displays.
The Z9D series uses a Backlight Master Drive for the LED display which creates more shadow detail and gives colors higher peaks, a feature that is not available on the X900E. Overall, the picture quality is better than the X900E, but it received a slightly lower ranking due to its higher price. If costs are no option, the Z9D series is just about the best picture quality you can get for 2019.
Samsung has always made some quality 4K TV’s, and the Q9F Series in the 2019 lineup is no exception. It’s the first television with Samsung QLED Technology and the display is one of the most crisp that we’ve seen.
- 65 inch and 75 inch Displays
- Quantum Dots Technology
- High Dynamic Range (HDR)
- Ultra HD Premium Certified
- 4 HDMI, 3 USB Connections
The QLED display is new for 2019 and exclusive to Samsung 4K TV’s. It stands for Quantum Dots, which are extremely small particles in the LEDs that allow for increased brightness at every level. Samsung claims the Q9F is capable of up to a billion different shades of colors, which judging by the clarity and sharpness of the display; we would not doubt that claim.
5) LG B7A Series 4K TV – Best 4K TV for the Money
Similar to the LG OLED C7 Series, the B7A Series only differs with its lack of Dolby Audio and frame design. Other than that, it’s the same 4K TV at a slightly lower price point. You can still have the great 4K ultra HD display at the fraction of the price.

Best 4K TV Overall
There are a lot of great 4K Ultra HD TVs for 2019 that could make the best overall, but so far the Sony Bravia X900E has excelled above the rest. With a wide range of displays from 49 inch all the way up to 75 inch, it fits just about any need. With Sony’s Android TV, the X900E is a smart TV that lets you stream all your favorite apps and channels like Netflix and Hulu.
Those features are nice and all, but what about the picture quality? First off, Sony really enhanced the black levels to some of the darkest we’ve seen. Video processing is smooth as silk and its high dynamic range performance is off the charts. Not only does it perform well, but it looks the part. Its sleek styling and modern design are similar to other 4K TVs that are twice it’s price.
And while we’re on the subject of price, the Sony Bravia X900E Series can be found at Amazon.com in the 65 inch 4K TV version for under $2k. Similar 4K UHD TV’s can be twice as much or higher. What to Look for in 2019?
There probably isn’t a more rapidly developing technology as TV’s (except maybe smartphones and smartwatches), so 2019 is expected to bring all new features and designs. Below is a list of new features we expect to be unveiled for new 4K TVs in 2019.
With increased brightness comes the need to increase bit depth. The standard bits tend to be 8 and 10 which do just fine currently. However, as more light is forced through these displays, manufacturers have no choice but to go to a 12-bit display. Dolby Vision was one of the first to produce a 12 bit 4K TV, although it has not caught on mainstream just yet. Expect 12-bit displays to be extremely costly as they are first released.
4K Gaming TV’s
In 2019 we hope to see more 4K TV’s geared to gaming and fast moving sports. Lag and blurriness in fast action scenes has always been an issue with large displays. It’s now time that manufacturers take 4K gaming seriously and not just include a manual game mode, but produce a TV that works well across all spectrum’s equally. The demand for a large display without artifacts or ghosting is out there, it just needs to be made a reality.
8K TV’s are a thing right?
As we mentioned earlier, CES 2018 showed Samsung release the prototype 85 inch Q9S 8K TV. This monstrosity was truly the wave of the future in both display quality and shear impressiveness, but what does it mean for 8k going forward? The short answer is not much. 4K UHD TVs are just becoming mainstream and many media formats do not even harness every thing it has to offer just yet. 8K resolution would be just getting ahead of ourselves at this point, but it should still be kept on the radar. 8K really shines on large displays of 70+ inches, so anything smaller really wouldn’t do it justice anyways.
What are 4K UHD TV’s or Ultra HD TV’s?
What is 4K Ultra HD or 4K UHD and why do you need it? This is common question for people looking to by their first 4K UHD TV. Simply stated, 4K is an increased resolution over standard TV’s. A 4K UHD TV has a resolution greater than 3,840 pixels horizontally and 2,160 pixels vertically.
UHD stands for Ultra High Definition and is similar in resolution to 4,000 pixels by 2,160. As you can see, 4K and UHD are actually the same thing. They provide the same picture quality and same resolution. 4K UHD sounds a lot better than just 4K, so manufacturers use it as a selling point.
It doesn’t stop at 4K either, the new 8K UHD’s for 2019 are soon to hit the market as well. 8k UHD has a resolution of 7,680 by 4,320 which is almost twice that of 4K UHD TV’s. Since most media applications can’t handle 8K fully just yet, it’s not worth considering, but it should be noted that 8K is on the horizon.
The new year is setting up to be an exciting one as new 4K TVs are being released and picture quality just keeps getting better. CES 2018 just wrapped up and many manufacturers released their upcoming 4K UHD lineups. We area really looking forward to the new Bravia Series release, especially the Sony Bravia X900F Series which looks to improve on the already successful X900e.
After comparing all available information, our top pick for the Best 4K TV for 2019 goes to the Sony Bravia X900E Series. It’s sharp display, improved hardware, sleek design, and affordability make it the complete package. Our pick for the Best Budget 4K TV goes to the TCL 55P607 4K TV. Dolby vision along with Roku TV are the perfect combination for a quality viewing experience with all your apps and channels at your fingertips.
